Super Eagles-eligible winger Shola Shoretire has been promoted to Manchester United first team training by manager Erik ten Hag.
The England youth international of Nigerian descent was on U21 duties with the Red Devils development squad on Friday evening, coming off the bench at halftime to replace Charlie Salvage.
Manchester United U21 coach Mark Dempsey revealed post-match that the Anglo-Nigerian played only the second half because he was scheduled to train with the first team stars on Saturday morning.
Speaking to the United Stand, Dempsey said : "Charlie [Savage] is training in the morning with the first team and so is Shola [Shoretire], that's why they both only played 45 minutes each tonight."

Manchester United first team boss Ten Hag was at the J. Davidson Stadium (Altrincham, Cheshire) to watch the Premier League 2 match between the U21 side and West Ham, along with his assistant Mitchell Van der Gar.
Shoretire was involved in the build up to Manchester United U21s equaliser scored by Omari Forson on the hour mark.
The 18-year-old trained with the first team before their Europa League meeting with Sheriff but was not named in the traveling squad to Moldova on Wednesday.
