MK Dons manager Russell Martin has lauded Nigeria-eligible youngster Matthew Sorinola after the fullback provided his fourth assist in his last two matches in a 2-1 win over Plymouth Argyle on Tuesday night.
For the third time in three days, Sorinola set up a goal scored by Cameron Jerome as the former Norwich City striker headed home a cross from the left by the Anglo-Nigerian in the 22nd minute.
Against Accrington Stanley on Saturday, the fullback assisted his teammates score three goals in a 3-2 win.
"I think Cammy is going to start paying him! The beautiful thing about Matty is that we haven't been able to play him as much as we wanted, but he's bounced back," Martin was quoted as saying by MK Citizen.
"He's so laid back which helps him on the pitch. There aren't many like him.
"We ask him to take more risks and to commit more of himself in the final third and he's doing that.
"Physically it's tough but he's so reliable defensively, so when he adds at the other end for us, it's fantastic."
Sorinola's brilliant form this season has seen him being linked with several Premier League clubs including Leeds United, West Ham United, Crystal Palace and Newcastle United.
