Former Brentford center-back Sam Sodje has revealed why FC Midtjylland holding midfielder Frank Onyeka should pick The Bees over his other suitors.
Onyeka is touted to be the next Super Eagles star to make a move to the Premier League with Brentford genuinely interested in his services in the summer transfer window.
Sodje underlined that Brentford are a family club and Onyeka would endear himself to the fans if he works hard.
A product of FC Ebedei, Onyeka has been an integral part of the Midtjylland side in the last three years and showed off his tackling abilities in the middle of the field in the 2020-2021 Champions League, where he started every single game played by the Wolves in the group stage.
Speaking to allnigeriasoccer.com, Sodje said : "Unfortunately I have not seen Onyeka play but if he's a good player Brentford is a club to play for.
"Brentford, regardless that they are in the Premier League now, they are a very family club, he will play for the fans that will love him.
"I think he will enjoy himself at Brentford, so if he has the opportunity to go and play for Brentford I'll definitely say to him to go and play for them especially if the club want him.
"Brentford want players that work hard and that's how I got to be liked by the fans.
"As long as he works hard and does it for the badge I think he will be a great addition to the club".
Tom Adeyemi, John Akinde, Chuba Akpom, Ademola Bankole and Moses Odubajo have represented Brentford in the past.
