Tottenham Hotspur sent one of their trusted scouts to Africa to monitor at close quarters emerging talents at the Gee-Lec Football Academy tournament organized by Nigerian intermediary Babawo Mohammed. <br /><br />Highly respected scout Simon Hunt watched the three-day event that took place in Abuja and it is understood that he has recommended some of the outstanding youngsters to English Premier League teams.<br /><br />When asked about the players that caught the fancy of the scouts, Babawo told <b>allnigeriasoccer.com</b> : &ldquo;We just finished the tournament and they will send me the names of the players they are interested in when they return. <br /><br />&ldquo;Simon Hunt is one of the scouts that came to watch the players.&rdquo;<br /><br />It is understood that Tottenham Hotspur have recently started to focus much more on the Nigerian market due to the success of ex-Golden Eaglets star Kelechi Iheanacho at Manchester City.<br /><br />The White Hart Lane outfit had agreed a pre-contract with Nigeria youth international Musa Yahaya after the Fifa Under 17 World Cup staged in the United Arab Emirates.<br /><br /><b>Ifeanyi Emmanuel</b><br /><br />Photo Credit :mcfc.co.uk<br />
