Born in Waterford twenty-six years ago, Sobowale is eligible to represent the national teams of the Republic of Ireland and Nigeria.

Sobowale meets the eligibility requirements to represent the Super Eagles immediately as he holds a valid Nigerian passport, and has also expressed his eagerness to play for the African powerhouse.
With 22 league titles, 26 FAI Cups, 18 League of Ireland Shields and 21 LFA President’s Cups to their name, Shamrock Rovers are statistically the most decorated club in Ireland.
After finding playing opportunities limited at St Mirren, Sobowale has opted to join Shamrock Rovers on a temporary deal until the summer.
He joined St. Mirren in the summer of 2025 and has made eight appearances for the Buddies, seven of them as a substitute.
His other clubs include Waterford, Hércules, Finn Harps, Athlone Town, Shrewsbury Town and Swindon Town.
Sobowale links up with goalkeeper Todd Bazunu and future Arsenal player Victor Ozhianvuna at Shamrock Rovers.
