Two Super Eagles targets in the shape of Crystal Palace attacking midfielder Eberechi Eze and Bournemouth star Philip Billing have sent messages to Aaron Ramsdale after the Sheffield United goalkeeper completed his transfer to Arsenal on Friday, August 20.
The Gunners have gone on a spending spree this summer after their failure to qualify for Europe last season, bolstering their squad with the capture of Ben White, Albert Sambi Lokonga, Nuno Tavares, Martin ødegaard and Ramsdale for a combined transfer fee of approximately €150million.
Eze and Billing were teammates with Ramsdale at international and club level respectively, with the 2017 Super Eagles invitee playing together with him in the England U20 and U21 teams while Billing played alongside him for one season at the Cherries.
The Super Eagles-eligible players were delighted to see Ramsdale join one of the traditional big six clubs.
Reacting after his move to the Emirates was confirmed, Ramsdale posted on Instagram : "Time for a new chapter, one I can’t wait to start! @arsenal really ready to hit the challenge head on in front of you fans."
Here is how Eze and Billing responded to his post :
