Major League Soccer playoffs runners-up Toronto FC are hoping to tie down United States U17 international Ayo Akinola to a new deal, according to reports.<br /><br />The Reds are in talks with Akinola regarding penning a homegrown deal, and the talented striker is currently studying the offer. <br /><br />Born in Detroit before moving to Canada, the 16-year-old netted his first goal for USA U17s against Brazil last March and went on to score more than sixteen goals for the national team in 2016.<br /><br />Ayo Akinola made ten appearances for Toronto II in the United Soccer League last term, and bagged a brace against Harrisburg City on game week 16.<br /><br />Ifeanyi Emmanuel <br /><br />Photo Credit : ussoccer.com<br /><br /><br /><br />
