Victor Anichebe : I Was Sad To See David Moyes Go

David Moyes' decision to quit Everton in the summer for Manchester United played a role in Victor Anichebe's transfer to West Brom hours before the close of the summer transfer market, the Nigeria international has told British media.<br /><br />Anichebe reached new heights under David Moyes who handed the attacker his first team debut in February 2006.<br /><br />Speaking to <i>Sky Sports UK</i>, the 25 - year - old said : '' David Moyes has been such a help for me. He has been like a father figure.<br /><br />'' He brought me through when I was just a boy and he has stuck with me through thick and thin. <br /><br />''It was a wrench and there were moments even when I was driving down when I thought, 'is this the right decision?'<br /><br />'' I was sad to see David Moyes go but that happens and you have to move on. <br /><br />'' I felt after a good latter stage of the season, maybe I should go somewhere else for a fresh start.''<br /><br />Victor Anichebe is credited with 18 goals in 131 English Premier League appearances for the Toffees.<br />&nbsp;<br />Photo Credit : topnews.in<br />
