Nigeria legend Victor Ikpeba, who was coached by Arsene Wenger during their time with French club Monaco, reckons it will be difficult for Arsenal to attract new players to join the club in the summer transfer window.
The former African Footballer of the Year noted that the Gunners are synonymous with attacking football but the current players are struggling offensively, with 30 goals scored from 23 games in the Premier League.
Of the top ten teams in the Premier League table, only Sheffield United (25) and Crystal Palace (22) have scored fewer goals than Mikel Arteta's team, and it is one of the reasons they have not won many games this season.
Speaking on Super Sport'S Monday Night Football monitored by allnigeriasoccer.com, Ikpeba said : "Some months ago, I said there's not enough quality in this Arsenal team compared to Liverpool and Manchester City.
"When a team like Arsenal with its tradition, with its attacking style of football we've seen in the last two decades, after 23 games, they've only scored 30 goals and they have conceded 32. Poor."

The 1996 Atlanta Olympics gold medalist added : "What can the Board do? You have to take a lot of players from that team and bring in some really good players, players that are hungry to succeed. What am I seeing there is not enough.
"I don't know what they are going to do next season to fix this rot. Can you encourage the best players to come to Arsenal next season.

With 14 goals to his name, Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has accounted for approximately 47 percent of the goals scored by the club in the Premier League so far this season, while Alexandre Lacazette appears to have lost his confidence in recent games.
