World football governing body, Fifa has erased the fears of majority of Nigerians after it announced on Thursday that the Super Eagles will participate in the Confederations Cup despite a bonus row with the Nigeria Federation. <br /><br />The players and officials will leave Southern Africa on Saturday for the 4005 miles journey to Sao Paulo.<br /><br />''<span class="notranslate"> I spoke with the technical team (Stephen Keshi, ed) and will participate in the Confederations Cup.</span> <span class="notranslate"> Will fly on Saturday</span>,''<span class="notranslate">general secretary of FIFA, Jerome Valcke was quoted as saying by <i>TV Globo.</i></span><br /><br />The Super Eagles have been rebelling after the Federation cut their bonuses by 50 percent.<br /><br />The Nigeria delegation is expected to arrive Brazil on Sunday, just 24 hours before the African champions lock horns with Tahiti in their first group game on Monday, June 17.<br /><br />Just in case the team fails to arrive Brazil for the Confederations Cup, one of the showpiece events in the global football calender, Fifa will fine the Federation $230,000.<br /><br />On top of that , Nigeria could be thrown out of the World Cup qualifiers.<br />
