Man City Striker Iheanacho Ruled Out Of AFCON Qualifier, Given Two Weeks Rest

Manchester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho will spend the next two weeks on the sidelines, according to his father James Iheanacho.
A muscle injury forced the 19-year-old to be substituted in the 76th minute of the Champions League tie against Steaua Bucharest on Wednesday night.
“Kelechi is getting fine, he said it is a minor injury. Manchester City have told him to rest the injury for two weeks, ” James Iheanacho told allnigeriasoccer.com.
“I don’t know yet if he will still come for the Nations Cup qualifier against Tanzania. ”
Apart from the AFCON qualifier with Tanzania, Iheanacho will not be available for selection when City face West Ham in the Premier League this weekend., but could be fit before the Manchester derby on September 10.
