Official: Promising Defender, Who Has Committed Int'l Future To Nigeria, Joins AFC Wimbledon
Published: June 08, 2017Through a statement published on their official website, EFL League One club AFC Wimbledon have announced the signing of Nigerian defender Deji Oshilaja on undisclosed terms, with effect from July 1, 2017.
The transfer effectively brings an end to his association with Cardiff City, where he has spent the last eight years of his career.
''Deji is a player who I have worked with loads and he will bring a lot of good qualities to the team. He has pace, athleticism and reads the game well,'' manager Neal Ardley told The Dons official webpage, afcwimbledon.co.uk.
''I believe he could be a top centre back and that he could also fill in for us at full-back when needed.''
South London-born Oshilaja has pledged his international future to Nigeria ahead of England.
