Official: Super Eagles Striker Completes Deadline Day Move From Man City To Shakhtar Donetsk Through a press release via their official website, Ukrainian Premier League champions FC Shakhtar Donetsk have announced the loan signing of Nigeria national-teamer Olarenwaju Kayode.

The agreement between The Miners and Manchester City will keep Kayode at the Ukrainian side until the end of the 2017-2018 season.

Shakhtar Donetsk have the option to buy the Nigerian out of his contract with the Citizens when the summer transfer window opens for business.

The former Golden Eaglets and Flying Eagles star penned a four-year deal with City in August 2017 before he was immediately sent out on loan to partner club Girona in Spain.

The 24-year-old started out his career in Europe with Swiss team Lucerne, before spells at Maccabi Netanya and Austria Vienna.

He made 13 appearances for Girona in all competitions before he was recalled early from his loan spell owing to limited playing opportunities in the first half of this season.

The Ukrainian transfer window closed on Friday, March 2.
