Through a statement on their official website, German Bundesliga club Borussia Mönchengladbach have announced that they have pulled off a transfer coup by landing the hugely talented Nigerian winger Keanan Bennetts from Tottenham Hotspur.
Born in Edgware, London to a German mother and Nigerian father, Bennetts has penned a four-year deal that will keep him at Mönchengladbach until the end of the 2021-2022 season.
Speaking on the deal, Bennetts said : ''Borussia is one of Germany’s biggest teams. I’m really looking forward to experiencing the atmosphere at BORUSSIA-PARK.''
Sporting director Max Eberl added : ''Keanan can play a variety of attacking roles. He has played for Spurs in the Premier League 2 and in the UEFA Youth League this season, and we back him to make the step up to the Bundesliga.
''We’re delighted he has chosen to sign for Borussia.''
Keanan Bennetts has represented Germany at U15 level and also has caps for England U16, U17 and U19 national teams.
