Nigeria international Izunna Uzochukwu is preparing to bid farewell to
Danish Super Liga club Odense Boldklub in the January transfer window, allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report.
Odense
Boldklub insiders have informed this website that the club have
accepted a bid in the region of 200,000 euros for the defensive
midfielder and he has been granted permission to discuss personal terms
with his would-be employer.
Uzochukwu joined OB in January 2016 and has contractual obligations with the club until June 30, 2019.
The
27-year-old will join the growing list of Nigeria internationals in
China including John Obi Mikel, Brown Ideye, Obafemi Martins and Odion
Ighalo, if the transfer does not fall through.
On his curriculum
vitae, he has represented FC Midtjylland and Amkar Perm, and spent his
formative years as a footballer with famous grassroots club FC Ebedei.
This season, Uzochukwu has played 16 games for OB's first-team, scoring one goal and logging 973 minutes.
