According to Calciomercato, AC Milan are considering Folarin Balogun as a transfer target ahead of the summer window.
Milan have identified three young strikers namely Myron Boadu (AZ Alkmaar), Donyell Malen (PSV Eindhoven) and Folarin Balogun (Arsenal) as potential signings to act as understudy to experienced former Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
The Swede has entered the final five months of his contract with The Rossoneri and it is not yet confirmed if he will be signing an extension at the end of the season.
Milan will turn to a more experienced striker if Ibrahimovic does not extend his stay, with Andrea Belotti and Luka Jovic mentioned as possible targets.
Balogun has been offered a new deal by Arsenal but is hesitating to commit his future to his boyhood club because of a lack of first team opportunities.
Arsenal were willing to listen to offers for Balogun in the winter
transfer market rather than allowing him run down his contract but the
clubs interested in his services are hoping to sign him as a free agent in the summer.
Apart from AC Milan, the Hale End Academy product has been linked with Premier League, Ligue 1 and Bundesliga clubs.
