The 2021 Africa Cup of Nations groups were drawn in Yaoundé on Tuesday, August 17 with the 24 qualified teams divided into six groups.
Unarguably the standout match of the group stage will see the Super Eagles face Egypt, while the other two countries in Group D are Sudan and Guinea Bissau.
Group D has three former winners of the Africa Cup of Nations, namely the Pharaohs who won the competition in
1957, 1959, 1986 , 1998, 2006 , 2008 and 2010, the Super Eagles champions in 1980, 1994 and 2013, and Sudan who lifted the trophy in 1970.
