Super Eagles stars Ahmed Musa, Oghenekaro Etebo and Paul Onuachu spoke to the media as they made their way out of the Teslim Balogun Stadium following their 3-0 hammering of Lesotho in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on Tuesday.
Musa was given game time when he came off the bench to replace his former Leicester City teammate Kelechi Iheanacho in the 86th minute, Onuachu was a 74th minute replacement for Victor Osimhen and Stoke City loanee Oghenekaro Etebo went the full ninety.
Etebo got on the scoresheet with a close range effort in the 50th minute and Onuachu made it two goals in as many games when he volleyed home with seven minutes left.
The three players were delighted to help Nigeria finish the AFCON qualifiers unbeaten, accumulating 14 points from a possible 18.
"I feel very happy, as you can see we won the game and topped the group so I'm happy," Musa said to News Central TV.
Onuachu stated : "I feel very happy for the country and for the goal."
Etebo added : "I'm super excited, I am very happy that we got the points and then we've qualified so I'm happy for the game."
Nigeria are back in action in June when they host Liberia in a 2022 World Cup qualifier, before traveling to Central African Republic.
