Ahmed Musa Vows Super Eagles Will Compensate Fans By Qualifying For World Cup

Super Eagles vice-captain Ahmed Musa has shared his thoughts on the national team&rsquo;s failure to qualify for the 2017 African Cup of Nations on the heels of the 1-0 loss to Egypt in Alexandria last month.<br /><br />The CSKA Moscow frontman has stated that the Super Eagles will compensate the fans by qualifying for the World Cup which will hold in Russia in the next two years.<br /><br />&ldquo;We have not been able to beat Egypt at home after we conceded!&nbsp; This is bad, but not terrible.&nbsp; Now Nigeria prepares for the World Cup qualifying tournament,&rdquo; said Ahmed Musa to sport-express.ru.<br /><br />&nbsp;&ldquo;We really want to go to Russia.&nbsp; People ask me about my country, I tell them a lot.&nbsp; It&rsquo;s a big goal, which we all are attracted.&nbsp; <br /><br />&ldquo;Nigerians are very fond of football.&nbsp; Our fans deserve to be pleased with their team.&rdquo;<br /><br />Ahmed Musa was named in the starting XI by interim coach Samson Siasia in both games against the North Africans.<br /><br />Igho Kingsley <br /><br />Photo Credit : thenff.com<br />
