Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has included Nigeria-eligible midfielder Marvin Akinlabi in his squad list for a glamour friendly against Italian giants AC Milan on Sunday evening.
The friendly will take place at the Wörthersee Stadion in Klagenfurt, Austria, starting from 1830 hours CEST.
The Spanish-Nigerian-Korean starlet is competing with Modrić, Casemiro, Lucas V., ødegaard, Isco, Blanco and Arribas.for a spot in Los Blancos midfield.
Previously, there had been doubts about the future of the 2020 UEFA Youth League winner at Real Madrid but he has proved that he deserves a spot in the first team as he has been training with the squad since the first day of pre-season.
Akinlabi played the last thirty minutes of Real Madrid first pre-season friendly - a 2-1 loss to Rangers on July 25.
He already had a taste of first team football for Real Madrid, totaling four appearances in La Liga and was
on the bench when they were held to a goalless draw by Liverpool in the
Champions League back in April.
Former Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori has been named in AC Milan's squad for this evening's friendly.
