Oghenekaro Etebo and Daniel Akpeyi have reacted to the Super Eagles hard-fought 3-2 win against Cameroon in a round of 16 clash at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
While the jury is still out on the Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper after another shaky performance in goal, the midfielder's stock continues to rise with each game he plays.
The Super Eagles recovered from behind to set up a showdown with South Africa in the quarterfinal on Wednesday thanks to Alex Iwobi's winning goal in the 66th minute.
Speaking to reporters in the mixed zone, Akpeyi said : ''It is a very exciting one, coming down from a goal down in the first half to win the game 3-2.
''Credits go to every single player on the field and even the one outside because everybody was trying to motivate the team to do well.
''It is a very great one, we just look forward to the next game''.
Etebo added : ''It is a very big one because the truth is that we all know so many people will not believe that we are going to comeback.
''All the same we just believe in ourselves because we were playing better, we were doing well, we didn't lose so much of the balls, even if we lost one, two, three balls but we were doing it better.
''We scored after 15 minutes in the first half so we believe we can win the game and we did.''
