American Referee, Mark Geiger To Officiate France - Nigeria
The United States of America referee, Mark Geiger, has been appointed by Fifa to officiate the second round World Cup fixture between Nigeria and France on Monday in Brasilia. <br /><br />The 39 - year - old was a high school Mathematics teacher at Lacey Township High School in Lanoka Harbor, New Jersey before he retired to start full - time professional refereeing.<br /><br />Mark Geiger has already officiated two group matches at the ongoing World Cup, Greece - Colombia and Chile - Spain, handing out 3 yellow cards in each of the games.<br /><br />Geiger, who obtained his National Referee badge in 2003 , was named the best referee in the MLS back in 2011<br />
