'An internationally recognized talent' - Grasshoppers chief reacts to signing of Wolves striker on loan
Grasshoppers Technical Director Seyi Olofinjana has commented on the loan capture of South Korea internatinal Sangbin Jeong from Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Wolves signed the promising striker and immediately loaned him to Grasshoppers on an eighteen-month loan to continue his development.
Olofinjana has used his connections at former club Wolves to acquire the signature of five of their players in 2021-2022, also bringing in Christian Herc, Hayao Kawabe, Leonardo Campana and Bendegúz Bolla.
The retired Nigeria international was Wolves loans pathway manager and previously assisted to coach their U18 and U23 teams before joining Grasshoppers in May last year.
"With the signing of Jeong, we are relying on a young, internationally recognized talent who has great potential," Olofinjana said to the official website of Grasshoppers.
"We hope that he will settle in quickly and strengthen us on the offensive with his speed and his already well-developed qualities".
Of the five British clubs he represented during his playing days,
Olofinjana made the most appearances for Wolves, 147 in total and scored
eighteen goals.
