Anthony Ujah Scores On Away Debut For First Time In His Career

Werder Bremen have registered their first point of the season after playing out a 1 - 1 draw with Hertha BSC in the Bundesliga on Friday night.<br /><br />In front of 56,376 fans, Stocker scored from close range to give the hosts the lead in the 6th minute but Anthony Ujah equalized with his team&rsquo;s first chance of the game 20 minutes later.<br /><br />After losing their opening fixture against Schalke 04 last weekend, the Nigeria international was delighted after his side picked up a point at the Olympiastadion.<br /><br />&ldquo;We were better today than against Schalke, we were more aggressive and our reaction showed that we wanted all three points,&rdquo;&nbsp; Ujah told his club&rsquo;s official website, werder.de.<br /><br />&ldquo;Obviously the early goal was annoying, a real shame, but the crucial thing was that we showed character and performed well. Everyone fought hard and gave everything. <br /><br />&ldquo;It was definitely a deserved point.&rdquo;<br /><br />Friday was the first time in his career that Ujah scored for a new team in his first game away from home, having fired blanks against Aalesund (March 14, 2010), Freiburg ( August 13,2011) and Union Berlin (September 21,2012).<br />
