Leverkusen coach highlights Nathan Tella qualities after goal and assist against RB Leipzig

Bayer Leverkusen manager Kasper Hjulmand has praised the influence of Nathan Tella, emphasizing his key attributes in the 4-1 victory over RB Leipzig on Saturday.

The Super Eagles forward delivered a standout performance at the BayArena, scoring once and providing an assist as Leverkusen secured a comfortable win.

The result further boosts Leverkusen’s push for a UEFA Champions League place, moving them up to fourth on the table with 58 points.

Speaking after the match, Hjulmand pointed out Tella’s influence, particularly his relentless energy and attacking movement.

"He gives us a lot of energy and quality overall – especially in depth," Hjulmand explained as quoted by Liga Insider.

Tella, who joined the Bundesliga side from Southampton, has made an impressive return after battling two major injuries earlier in the campaign.

Since coming back, the 26-year-old has recorded one goal and three assists in seven league appearances, helping Leverkusen in their push for a Champions League qualification spot.
