Two players of Nigerian descent have been summoned by the English Football Association for England U17's upcoming games in November.
The highly-rated Arsenal goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo and Chelsea attacking midfielder Faustino Anjorin are set to add to their international caps for England youth, having been named to manager Steve Cooper's 20-player roster.
The Young Lions, world champions at U17 level, will take on Portugal in a min-tournament on November 8, before facing Russia (November 11) and Germany (November 14).
Six players of Nigerian descent Jordan Aina, Ajibola Alese, Xavier Amaechi, Ed Elewa-Ikpakwu, Nathaniel Ogbeta and Bukayo Saka, who all represented England U16s last season have been omitted from the latest U17 squad list announced on Thursday morning.
The 16-year-old Arthur Okonkwo is highly regarded by Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger and has trained with the club's first-teamers twice this season.
Faustino Anjorin,15, has five appearances under his belt for Chelsea U18s so far this season, and got on the score-sheet against Fulham back in September.
