The Blues have presumably been handed a boost in their pursuit of Samuel Chukwueze with the Villarreal winger reiterating that Chelsea are his favourite club.
Chelsea remain a big attraction to several Nigerian fans largely due to the exploits of John Obi Mikel, Celestine Babayaro and Victor Moses at the club.
Chukwueze was linked with a move to Chelsea in the January transfer window but the proposed move did not come to fruition while Liverpool are keeping tabs on the Diamond Academy product with a view to a swoop.
Arsenal missed out on the 20-year-old's signature prior to his move to Villarreal and it is believed that he's back on their radar, with former player Santi Cazorla revealing that he received calls from the Gunners over the possibility of signing the Nigeria international.
"I was supporting Chelsea when I was young. When Chelsea lost that Champions League final against Manchester United, I was crying all through the night."
Chukwueze has a release clause of 100 million euros which has to be triggered by an interested club before he can shred his agreement with the Yellow Submarine.
