Asisat Oshoala has won the Outstanding Achievement Female New Player award, Liverpool Ladies Football Club have announced through official channels.<br /><br />The Nigeria international is widely regarded as one of the top young players in the world, having won the FIFA U-20 Women&rsquo; s World Cup Golden Boot and Golden Ball in&nbsp; 2014.<br /><br />Before the Women&rsquo;s World Cup, the first African footballer to play in the WSL was voted the BBC Women&rsquo;s Footballer of the Year for 2015.<br /><br />Asisat Oshoala struggled with a knee injury towards the end of&nbsp; the 2015 season but managed to find the back of the net three times in nine appearances in the top flight.<br /><br />A product of Rivers Angels, the 21 - year - old made her debut in the Champions League against Brescia on October 7.<br /><br />Photo Credit : liverpoolfc.com<br />
