The Nigeria Football Federation announced the Super Falcons provisional World Cup roster on Monday ahead of their trip to Austria where they will hold a training camp.
An analysis of the roster shows that eighteen foreign-based players and eight players who play locally have been selected by manager Thomas Dennerby.
Barcelona star Asisat Oshoala and Brighton & Hove's Ini-Abasi Umotong have made the squad list as well as eight Swedish-based players led by the influential midfielders Rita Chikwelu and Ngozi Okobi.
Two American-born players Courtney Dike and Antionette Payne of Sevilla have not made the cut.
Nigeria kick offs the 2019 Women's World Cup Saturday, June 8 against Norway before facing South Korea (June 12) and France (June 17).
The training camp at the Avita Resort in Bad Tatzmannsdorf will last for two weeks.
