Super Eagles hopeful David Ozoh has taken to social media to confirm that his spell with Championship side Derby County has come to an end.
The Valencia-born midfielder is eligible to represent both Spain, his country of birth, and England at senior level, though he has recently been strongly linked with a potential call-up to Nigeria's Super Eagles ahead of the 2026 Unity Cup.
Derby County concluded their season on Saturday, narrowly missing out on the play-offs after finishing eighth in the Championship with 69 points, four adrift of sixth-placed Hull City.
With the club preparing to release its retained and released list following the conclusion of the 2025–2026 campaign, Ozoh has now confirmed that his stay at Pride Park will not be extended.
Writing on Instagram, he stated: "Two unforgettable years as a Ram. I’ve loved every single moment of it. I’m truly grateful for all the support and memories. This club will always hold a special place in my heart".
The former England U18 international rejoined Derby County on a second consecutive season-long loan in July 2025.
In his second stint with the Rams, he registered 37 appearances in all competitions, scoring twice.
Ozoh has been on the books of Crystal Palace since the age of eight, progressing through the club's youth system before making his professional debut in a Premier League fixture against Newcastle United in January 2023.
In doing so, he became the youngest player to represent the Eagles in the Premier League at the time, a record later surpassed by Joél Drakes-Thomas in December 2025.
