Blackburn Rovers are hopeful that their last minute attempt to sign Efe Ambrose on loan from Celtic in the January transfer window is successful.<br /><br />The transfer of the Nigeria international was not ratified by the English authorities before the transfer window closed for business on Tuesday.<br /><br />The EFL will have to check if the final paperwork was done before the 2300 hours deadline.<br /><br />Ambrose has fallen out of favour at Parkhead, with only two appearances to his name this season.<br /><br />He joined Celtic in the summer of 2012 from Israeli outfit MS Ashdod.<br /><br />Ifeanyi Emmanuel <br /><br />&nbsp;<br />
