Royale Union Saint-Gilloise striker Victor Boniface has been nominated for the Europa League Goal of the Week for his strike against Bayer Leverkusen at the BayArena on Thursday evening.
Boniface broke the deadlock five minutes into the second half when he sent an emphatic, curling finish past the Bayer Leverkusen goalkeeper and into the far corner to give the visitors the lead.
And in doing so, the Union SG number 7 took his haul to six in the Europa League, level with Marcus Rashford as the top scorers in the competition.
Boniface's brilliant goal is a contender for the Europa League Goal of the Week alongside strikes by Manchester United's Marcel Sabitzer, Bayer Leverkusen's Florian Wirtz and Feyenoord's Mats Wieffer.
The Nigerian has also been shortlisted for the Europa League Player of the Week after his eye-catching performance against Bayer Leverkusen.
Scorer of two goals in Manchester United's disappointing 2-2 draw with Sevilla, Sabitzer has also been nominated for the Player of the Week award.
Completing the shortlist of nominees are Feyenoord's Turkey international midfielder Orkun Kökçü and Juventus' Italy center back Federico Gatti.
Boniface is a previous winner of the Europa League Player of the Week, winning it for his performance in the round of 16, first leg clash against Union Berlin.
