Boost for Galatasaray as Osimhen resumes training ahead of UCL clash against Juventus

Victor Osimhen has returned to full training with Galatasaray ahead of their UEFA Champions League knockout phase playoffs second-leg match against Juventus in Turin.

The Nigerian striker participated fully in Monday evening’s training session at the Kemerburgaz Metin Oktay Facilities after missing Galatasaray’s recent Turkish Süper Lig match.

Osimhen was absent from the squad for the league fixture against Konyaspor Kulübü, which Galatasaray lost 2-0.

The club stated that his absence was due to discomfort in his right knee and described the decision as a precautionary measure to protect his fitness for the European competition.

During the session, Osimhen trained alongside his teammates without showing visible signs of discomfort.

Tactical drills formed a major part of the training session as Galatasaray continued preparations for the return leg in Italy.

The first-leg match in Istanbul ended in a 5-2 victory for Galatasaray, with Osimhen playing a key attacking role in the team’s dominant performance.

The result gives the Turkish side a strong advantage heading into the away fixture.

Galatasaray are aiming to maintain their aggregate advantage and secure qualification to the next stage of Europe’s premier club competition, with Osimhen expected to be a key attacking option in the squad’s tactical setup.
