Bournemouth manager Scott Parker has provided an update on the future of Nigerian-born winger Arnaut Danjuma amid speculation linking him with a departure from the Cherries before the close of the summer transfer window.
Danjuma is attracting interest from Premier League and foreign clubs, with Liverpool and Villarreal among his suitors.
The Dutch-Nigerian was omitted from the Cherries matchday squad in the Championship curtain raiser against West Brom on Friday night as he recently returned to training following his recovery from a foot injury.
Speaking post-match, Parker admitted that he is not sure whether Danjuma will be a Bournemouth player when the transfer window closes for business.
In quotes relayed by Tribalfootball.com, Parker said : "Well, I don't know about that. I can't commit to that.
"I think it's been well-documented, while we're in a transfer window, one of your best players, you understand you're vulnerable in that.
"We've rejected a bid from another club. I don't know whether that other club will come back, I don't know whether other clubs are around it. So I can't be committal on that.
"What I do know is that I'm going to take it as at this present moment in time, Arnie is our player.
"I want to do the best by Arnie, get him fit, get him up to speed and while he's here and while he's in our building, we will be using him".
Danjuma shone for the Cherries last season, scoring 17 goals and adding
eight assists in 37 appearances, 33 as a starter and hit the 2500-minute
mark in the Championship.
