English Premier League club Arsenal are on the brink of confirming the signing of former Huddersfield Town starlet of Nigerian descent Tim Akinola.
The Atlethic UK first broke the news that the Gunners have added the teenager to their roster for the activities of the upcoming season season, having taken up the option of securing the services of the player without the customary trial period.
Allnigeriasoccer.com reported three months ago that Akinola was set to move on to pastures new in the summer transfer window after failing to agree financial terms with Huddersfield Town over a new deal.
Allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report that the 19-year-old has signed a two-year contract, keeping him at Arsenal until June 30, 2022.
Akinola turned out for Lincoln City before joining Huddersfield in the summer of 2019, though he had to spend a portion of last season on loan at non-league side, Brighouse Town.
He joins Bukayo Saka, Miguel Azeez, Folarin Balogun, Ryan Alebiosu, Arthur Okonkwo, Mazeed Ogungbo, Daniel Oyegoke, James Olayinka and Tolaji Bola at the Emirates Stadium.
