Sky Bet Championship side Brighton &amp; Hove Albion are in pole position to secure the signature of William Troost-Ekong from Gent this summer, according to reports.<br /><br />Celebrated Dutch football magazine, <i>Voetbal International,</i> says the Seagulls have firmed up their interest by making an offer for the central defender who was born in Haarlem 22 years ago.<br /><br />Troost-Ekong has been linked with a number of English clubs including <span class="st">Norwich City,</span><span class="st"> Crystal Palace and Queens Park Rangers on the back of his performances in the Norwegian </span><span class="st"><span>Tippeligaen.<br /><br /></span>The stopper is spending his second season on loan at Norwegian club </span>FK Haugesund, who he skippers.<br /><br />He previously played for Fulham, Tottenham Hotspur, FC Groningen and FC Dordrecht .<br /><br />Ifeanyi Emmanuel <br /><br /><br />
