Brighton's Nnadozie battles Liverpool goalkeeper, 2 others for WSL Save of the Month
Super Falcons goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie, has been shortlisted for the Barclays Women's Super League (WSL) Save of the Month award for November, following her impressive performance for Brighton & Hove Albion.
Nnadozie, who joined the Seagulls during the summer transfer window, earned the nomination for a stunning first-half save in Brighton's 1-1 away draw against Liverpool.
The 24-year-old reacted brilliantly to deny Japanese midfielder Fūka Nagano's powerful long-range strike, a moment that proved crucial in securing a point for her side.
She faces stiff competition from Liverpool's Faye Kirby, who also delivered key saves in the same fixture to help her team avoid defeat.
Other nominees include Aston Villa's Sabrina D'Angelo and Manchester City's Ayaka Yamashita, both recognized for their standout goalkeeping displays during the month.
The nomination caps off a remarkable period for Nnadozie, who was recently crowned Africa's Best Goalkeeper for the third consecutive time at the CAF Awards.
Her consistent excellence played a pivotal role in Nigeria's triumph at the last WAFCON in Morocco, where the Super Falcons clinched their historic tenth title.
Nnadozie will be hoping to add the WSL accolade to her growing list of achievements as she continues her strong start to life in England's top flight.
