'Bullet of a header' - Ex-Liverpool LB hails Super Eagles target after goal in Chelsea's 7-0 rout of Port Vale

Former Liverpool left-back Stephen Warnock has praised Super Eagles target Tosin Adarabioyo for his commanding performance in Chelsea's emphatic 7-0 victory over Port Vale in the FA Cup on Saturday.

Tosin capped a dominant display with a powerful second-half header, rising above the defence to head home a precise delivery from Malo Gusto.

Before his goal, Chelsea had already taken firm control of the tie in the first half, racing into a three-goal lead through strikes from Jorrel Hato, João Pedro, and an own goal by Jordan Lawrence-Gabriel.

Speaking during his analysis on BBC One, Warnock described Adarabioyo's effort as a "bullet" finish, praising the power and precision that carried it beyond the goalkeeper.

"It's a bullet of a header from Tosin, it's strong, it's powerful, it's accurate." Warnock said.

"There's nothing Joe Gauci can do in the Port Vale goal."

Further goals from Andrey Santos, William Estevão, and Alejandro Garnacho sealed a comprehensive win at Stamford Bridge, sending Chelsea into the semifinals.

Former Manchester City youth team captain Tosin has impressed in the FA Cup, registering two goals in four appearances for Chelsea.

With the Blues now through to the semifinals, Tosin will be eager to build on his cup form and carry that momentum into the league.

Tosin is a player of interest to the Nigeria Football Federation and manager Eric Chelle but the Chelsea defender is still weighing up his international options.
