Liverpool youngster Rio Ngumoha has outlined his lofty ambitions in football, revealing a strong desire to win the FIFA World Cup alongside major club honours with the Premier League giants.
The teenage forward, who is enjoying a breakthrough season with Liverpool , has steadily caught the eye with his attacking qualities.
Despite limited opportunities, Ngumoha has registered one goal in 13 Premier League appearances, showcasing glimpses of his immense potential.
Speaking in an interview with Sky Sports, the highly-rated youngster emphasised that international success remains his ultimate dream, highlighting the emotional significance of winning a global title with his country.
"For club, Champions League and Premier League as well," Ngumoha said.
"I think the main one is World Cup. Celebrating with your nation internationally, being the best country in the world, that's crazy."
Beyond team success, Ngumoha also expressed confidence in his individual aspirations, admitting he is targeting football’s most prestigious individual accolade while aiming to cement his legacy among the sport’s elite.
"I am so confident in myself, hopefully a Ballon d'Or. But just being regarded as one of the best players that has ever played football," he added.
The youngster credited his belief and mentality to early guidance from his brother, who played a pivotal role in his development.
"It comes from me and also my brother. I think he showed me real belief from young. I remember when he was younger, he used to skip college to train me."
Ngumoha, who made the switch from Chelsea to Liverpool, remains eligible to represent Nigeria despite featuring for England at youth level.
His potential availability presents a significant boost for the Super Eagles as they look to strengthen their squad for future international competitions.
Super Eagles head coach Éric Chelle is expected to monitor the player’s development closely, with hopes that Ngumoha could commit his international future to Nigeria and play a key role in rebuilding the national team.
