Future Arsenal player Ozhianvuna named Shamrock Rovers POTM for the first time

Republic of Ireland U18 international of Nigerian descent Victor Ozhianvuna has been voted Shamrock Rovers' Player of the Month for April 2026.

A string of impressive performances in recent weeks earned the young star the award for the first time.

Ozhianvuna has already agreed a deal to join Premier League giants Arsenal, with the deal to be completed in January 2017 when he turns eighteen.

Despite being only 17, the attacking midfielder has already made 31 first team appearances for Shamrock Rovers, scoring his first senior goal in a cup clash against Wexford FC in July 2025.

Last month, he started four of the five games played by Shamrock Rovers in the League of Ireland Premier Division, helping them record three wins.

In February 2025, Ozhianvuna became the second-youngest player in UEFA Conference League history, coming on as a substitute for Rovers in the second-leg intermediate stage tie against Molde.

He has represented the Republic of Ireland youth teams at U15, U17 and U18 level.
