Central Defender Turned Striker Elijah Adebayo Continues To Catch The Eye At Fulham

Fulham secured top spot in their Premier League Cup group with a game to spare thanks to their 4-2 win over Charlton Athletic at Motspur Park on Friday night.<br /><br />A brace from George Williams and goals from Nigerian striker Elijah Adebayo and Matt O&rsquo;Riley helped the Cottagers record a convincing win over their London rivals.<br /><br />On 79 minutes, Adebayo found himself alone in the opponents box, before nodding the ball into the net and quelled any chance of a fightback in the process.<br /><br />Aged 19, the Londoner used to play as a central defender before he switched back to a striking role. <br /><br />Earlier in the season, then a Fulham loanee, he netted a hat-trick on his debut for Slough Town in their 4-1 rout of Bognor Regis Town.<br /><br />Igho Kingsley <br /><br />Photo Credit : fulhamfc.com <br />
