Chelsea CB makes decision on international future ahead of Nigeria's upcoming friendlies

Allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report with certainty that Chelsea central defender Tosin Adarabioyo has made a decision regarding his international future ahead of Nigeria's upcoming friendlies.

The Super Eagles will once again take part in the Unity Cup before high-profile friendly matches against European sides Poland and Portugal on June 3 and June 10 respectively.

Amid reports in the local media suggesting that Tosin had agreed to feature in the June fixtures, this website can confirm that the Manchester City academy graduate is not currently focused on international football.

As a result, he will be left out of the Super Eagles squad for the upcoming matches against Poland and Portugal.

Additionally, Tosin has had no contact with the Nigeria Football Federation over switching his international allegiance from England to Nigeria.

Former Super Eagles coach José Peseiro previously made informal enquiries to see whether Tosin would be willing to represent Nigeria, but no commitment was made at the time.

Before making his professional debut for Manchester City in an FA Cup clash with Chelsea, the 28-year-old represented England at U16, U17, U18 and U19 level.

Given that those caps for the Young Lions were earned in friendlies, no Fifa approval would be required for him to switch allegiance to the Super Eagles, should he decide to represent the three-time African champions in the future.
