Chelsea loan player technical coach, Eddie Newton has expressed his satisfaction over Ola Aina's loan spell at Torino, whom he joined on a season-long loan in August 2018.
Despite impressing in pre-season, the Nigeria international was farmed out on loan to The Maroons and has established himself as a first-team regular, making 19 starts in the Italian Serie A.
''A stellar season for him so far, he was outstanding in pre-season. He went to Serie A, making that decision to go abroad as well was a big step for him,'' said Newton to Chelsea's official website.
''Obviously the training methods in Italy are a little bit different, it took a while for him to get used to it but once he got used to it he just continued to grow.''
Newton has identified five key attributes of Ola Aina and noted that the wing-back has improved on one of his weaknesses.
''We've always known Ola has got exceptional talents - physical, technical, uses both feet, quick, powerful boy- but the question mark was his concentration throughout ninety minutes. He has proved that he can be consistent this season.
''For him to go abroad, it's a push but it's not that much of a push because Torino is a small city, beautiful, easy to get around, quite a lot of people speak English.''
Aina was handed his professional debut by ex-Blues manager Antonio Conte in August 2016 and the former England U19 skipper has gone on to play six games for the first-team.
