Leon Balogun was not spared by his countrymen in the wake of Brighton's 2-1 loss to Chelsea in a Premier League match at the AMEX Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

The Nigeria international had a half to forget and probably threw the game away when Willian intercepted a sloppy pass by the central defender and played the ball to Eden Hazard, who produced a clinical finish past goalkeeper Mathew Ryan in the 33rd minute.

The summer recruit from Mainz is enjoying a run of games of recent because Lewis Dunk's defensive partner Shane Duffy is serving a three-game ban after he was sent off against Crystal Palace on December 4.
