UEFA European Under-17 Championship after shaking off his injury problems.
The number ten did not figure for the world champions in their first two group matches against Israel and Italy before manager Steve Cooper named him in the starting line-up for Thursday evening's clash against Switzerland in Rotherham.
Arsenal's Folarin Balogun started in a central attacking position and was flanked by Anjorin and Xavier Amaechi, West Ham's Ajibola Alese occupied the right side of central defense and Bukayo Saka played as a left back.
Switzerland claimed a 1-0 win over the hosts courtesy of Mambimbi's goal on the stroke of half-time after he took advantage of a defensive slip in the box.
England did have a chance to equalize but Anjorin's header from a free-kick went wide before he was replaced in the 57th minute.
Despite the loss, England are through to the knockout stage of the U17 EURO and will face Norway at the Pirelli Stadium, Burton on Sunday, May 13.
