Nigerian striker Jerry Mbakogu may not go down with demoted Carpi if transfer reports are anything to go by.<br /><br />Italian newspaper <i>Modena Il Resto del Carlino</i> is reporting that Chievo Verona have opened talks with Mbakogu regarding the possibility of joining the club in the summer.<br /><br />Born in Lagos 23 years ago, the attacker is under contract with Carpi until June 30, 2019 having penned a multi-year deal with the club back in 2014. <br /><br />He previously starred for Scorz&egrave; Peseggia, Padova, Palermo and Juve Stabia.<br /><br />Ifeanyi Emmanuel <br />
