<b>Allnigeriasoccer.com</b> understands that French club SC Bastia have not given up on signing Nigeria youth international Chigozie Obasi, despite interest from other Ligue 1 and Spanish clubs.<br /><br />Towards the end of last year, the Corsican outfit&rsquo;s youth team coaches had ran the rule over the ex Golden Eaglets midfielder but a decision on whether he would be offered a contract was not taken as he is a minor.<br /><br />Now above the age of 17, SC Bastia have invited him for further tests and he would sign a preliminary deal that will be activated when he clocks 18 next summer, if he impresses during training.<br /><br />The likes of Monaco and <span>Deportivo de La Coru&ntilde;a have been linked with a move for the teenager after displaying his wares at the 2013 Fifa Under 17 World Cup. <br /><br />Chigozie Obasi and his minders are hoping to get positive feedback from the French embassy this week before he embarks on the journey to Europe.<br /></span>
