Chinwendu Ihezuo Shines As Falconets Qualify For Final Round

The Falconets have qualified for the final round of the African qualifying series for the 2016 FIFA U-20 Women&rsquo;s World Cup following their 2 - 0 win over Democratic Republic of Congo on Saturday evening at the National Stadium in Abuja.<br /><br />Thus, Nigeria advanced 4 - 1 on aggregate and will now face South Africa, who beat Zambia 3 - 2 at the <span><strong></strong>Makhulong Stadium today.<br /><br />The Falconets outplayed their opponents and like the first leg tie </span><span>two weeks ago Chinwendu Ihezuo was the heroine, netting a brace to add to her solitary strike in Kinshasa. <br /><br />On seven minutes, the 2012 FIFA U-17 Women&rsquo;s World Cup top goalscorer opened scoring before she sealed the win with her second goal of the game five minutes out of intermission.<br /><br />The Fifa U20s will take place in Papua New Guinea next year.<br /> </span>
