Christian Obodo rescued a point for Concordia Chiajna as Petrolul Ploiesti were held to a 1-1 draw in the Romanian Liga 1 on Friday at Stadionul Concordia. <br /><br />In their fight for survival, Concordia Chiajna were active in the winter transfer market, bringing in free agents Christian Obodo and Michael Odibe and they are reaping the rewards already.<br /><br />Astafei gave the visitors the lead seven minutes out of intermission but Obodo restored parity for Concordia Chiajna when he converted a spot kick in the 58th minute.<br /><br />Obodo, who is primarily a defensive midfielder, has notched four goals in his last six matches in all competitions.<br /><br />The 31-year-old is under contract with Concordia Chiajna until the end of this season.<br /><br />Igho Kingsley <br />
