With a statement on their official website, Premier League giants Chelsea have announced that the signing of versatile defender Ishe Samuels-Smith has been completed.
The length and financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed by the two-time European champions.
Ishe Samuels-Smith's transfer to Chelsea has ended his eight-year association with Everton, whom he joined at nine years old.
The 17-year-old trained with the Toffees first team players, including Super Eagles playmaker Alex Iwobi, several times last season.
He was called up for the Carabao Cup match with Bournemouth in August 2022 before making the bench again for a Premier League meeting with Fulham in April.
Ishe Samuels-Smith is capable of playing as a central defender and left-back.
Commenting on his transfer to Chelsea, he stated: "It was a shock to me because it all happened quickly, but I’m really glad to be here. It’s going to be a good experience coming into such a big club.
"It will be a new challenge because there are top players here, so I am going to have to adapt quickly and get through the levels."
Ishe Samuels-Smith has represented England at U16 and U17 level.
